He sure does not bring a power, size, or arm length to the fight over the massive Fury. If they get it in late April, Usyk and his team may see that as their best avenue to offset Fury natural size and strength. I do think Usyk is slightly better technically, but neither fighter really has that as a clear strength over the other. Both have shown the ability to adjust to their opponents strategy.

If this falls through, I am bummed it will not be Joyce as the back up opponent. DuBois is fine, a serious and respectable fighter. But since being smoked by Joyce, it feels like a serious step down from Joshua, Fury, or Joyce.
Fury has been talking about fighting in April for a long time 'Regardless of the opponent'.

What has happened here mate, is that Fury's slightly opportunistic tactics of suddenly making a fight offer 'And trying to force the fight at considerably short notice'.

These tactics may have not caught Usyk out 'As much as Fury was anticipating'.

Usyk's attitude and behavior displays that he is game 'Usyk has most likely preemptively understood that Fury potentially was going to use these tactics'.

Everyone honest objective boxing fan, was aware that Fury's offer to fight Joshua last year after a 12 round commendable but tough loss vs Usyk 'Was a completely opportunistic move'.

That also in terms of sociopolitical perception did not entirely work out for Fury 'Because Joshua just like Usyk accepted the fight terms'.

Fury was trying to take advantage of Joshua's perceived vulnerability 'After a admirable performance vs Usyk but tough loss'.

That is how I honestly read that situation and those tactics.

I think Fury behaves this way towards fighters he is most threatened by 'Fighters he maybe thinks will be his biggest challenge'.

Note: Fury cannot quite use the excuse of not being prepared, because Fury has always known what date he was going to fight 'Regardless of the opponent'.

I will say this 'These negotiations have not been professional, and I don't think it is a optimal situation for ether fighter's preparation'

But the situation has mainly been created and promoted by Tyson Fury etc.

Tyson Fury is a great fighter. But as a Champion, in terms of his conduct he is under-par 'I don't rate him highly as a Champion to date'.

Klimas is hiring UK lawyers to get a better deal. I heard/read something about them not liking a rematch clause or something.

Fury literally said Joyce didn’t have enough Instagram followers to warrant a fight and why he chose Chisora when offered the Joyce fight . Lol

You got to be some real drama Queen stuff in real life to keep supporting this guy who’s almost becoming as lame as Wilder himself .

He pulled out of the rematch twice, first time with a sprained ankle. Can't really use the 'retirement' for both

In todays boxing my dream matches would be fury v usyk and wilder v aj. Then a march among the winners.

Prematurely threatening to end the fight because Usyk's team got their ego hurt is a sad excuse to go back on the deal they accepted. It's a bs excuse and they should only be making important information public rather than their petty grievances.
That's not what they're doing. Usyk's side has signed the contract. The "Deadline" is because he has a mandatory.

Heard it from Fury? Because Usyk spoke on that already. There is no rematch clause request from Usyk's side.

That's my point. The fight didn't happen because Fury genuinely had problems that time. Whether the sprained ankle thing was real or not the fight was delayed and then ended because Fury was going to retire. It didn't "fall through" because of negotiations but because one fighter was actually done.
