The guy is just as smarmy and transparent as the rest. If he's making great fights though I'm not bothered.

Matchroom has matching rights with every boxer they sign, so SKY-Boxxer is paying more to liberate these boxers from Hearn.

The matchmaking was too safe IMO. He should’ve been put on a similar path to Okolie and put through the proper levels. Commonwealth, British, European and then World. Instead he fought overmatched imports for ranking titles and people quickly lost interest.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Azeez beats Buatsi tbh. I hope Boxxer make that fight for later in 2023.
They did try to match him with Vlasov not long ago. Every time he was in line for a decent fight like Vlasov, Bivol, Johnson or Pascal something happened. I can't really believe that's all on Matchroom.

They’re both accountable. I think 258 are definitely a problem when it comes to matchmaking too, as we’re seeing with Frazer Clarke currently.

When Hearn isn't giving it to "Frankie" up the old highway, Smith's job is to make excuses for Eddie to all the fighters, good for Buatsi, more and more fighters are moving away from MR...

                Came to say this.

How can Matchroom possibly act like they've done a good job for Buatsi?

Are the ones who tried to make the tough fights more or less accountable than the one who didn't take them?

How hard did they try though? They literally shelved Johnson and helped Buatsi avoid him. They refused to let him take the Pascal fight on BT.

They’re both to blame. The vast majority of these riskier fights falling apart likely came down to Buatsi wanting too much and Matchroom not paying enough.

Yeah they completely failed to build him into a fighter people wanted to see.

There was a lot of interest and hype surrounding Buatsi after 2016 but it wasn’t capitalised on by him or Matchroom.
