I'm not making him out that way , he did the fighting up the ladder which is the right thing to do .It's just disappointing as there are better and harder fights out there for Canelo but to say he's garbage says you don't know. He beat Danny Jacobs who was expected to beat him and everyone knows he beat Callum Smith , even though he didn't get the decision and got through Zack Parker who I can tell you from watching through the amateurs is a class hard-hitting box-fighter (broken hand) but a win . Your'e entitled to your opinion but it seems to be based on lack of knowledge, Ryder is not going to beat Canelo but he's far from 'garbage'.

Who exactly is it, that over the last few years is fighting better fighters than Canelo?

I can’t stand Oscar but Oscar followed that fight up with fights against Chavez, Ike Quartey, Obar Carr, Trinidad, and Mosley all in just the next 2 years. If that group Trinidad , Mosley and Quartey were all undefeated when Oscar faced them. His opposition is leaps and bounds better than Canelo’s.

Still nobody out there is fighting better competition than Canelo even though his last five or so fights have been not so stiff competition with Bivol being the only exception. But then again, had he beaten Bivol must would have dismissed him as a bum considering they were calling Bivol a cherry pick. Crawford sits atop the pound for pound and his best win to-date is the ghost of Shawn Porter and nobody seem to be crying about it. This is the new way of boxing today unfortunately, they are all doing it.

Whether you like or dislike Canelo (I think he's just okay), it's neutral to say his heyday is behind him and he's obviously on the decline, athletically and commercially.

Even if you concede he's fought nothing but cans, he typically did so three to four times a year, and that's a lot of wear and tear regardless of the opposition. It's aged him exponentially.

              And that's some bull****!
And there's the problem, the sanctioning bodies help him avoid the fights he doesn't want, and rush to mandate the ones he does.

I have no idea how anyone can be a big fan of Canelo. Weight bully, overrated, PEDs, smug, "chasing greatness" but never beats any really good fighters. He lost to GGG twice. Massively overblown ego. His career has been a huge hypejob and the thefts against GGG really say it all. He is a little ***** of a person and incredibly unlikable little roid head.

That said, Delahoya, a smarmy douche, and the original ego ridden and completely unlikable fighter of his era...he does have room to talk here, as he fought alot of great fighters in his era. He lost to most of them, but he wasn't a cherry picker. His last fight where Pac beat him senseless and ended his career was hilarious, but also you have to give Oscar credit for fighting Pac.

I've always expressed disappointment in Crawford's resume, and stated how I feel about Cinnabon avoiding fighters and the sanctioning bodies helping him do it. But, I'm not disappointed about this fight, Ginger is doing his usual, its hard to get upset when I see it coming. Besides it should be entertaining because its the impregnable, unstoppable, indestructible........JOHN FXCKING RYDER!!!
