Comments Thread For: Charlo: Tony Harrison Ain't Never Been The Same After Knocked Him Out; Didn't Dog It Out

Jermell Charlo doesn't think Tim Tszyu stopped the same version of Tony Harrison that he knocked out three years ago. Charlo contended during Showtime's coverage of Tszyu-Harrison that the outcome of their rematch ruined Harrison. Tszyu dropped and stopped Harrison in the ninth round Sunday afternoon at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia, Tszyu's hometown.

    All correct, Jermell.

Still, if Tszyu catches you clean, it's goodnight.

Charlo and Tszyu are both real fighters; Tszyu took a potentially difficult fight he didn't need to before his title shot and Charlo ducks noone. Credits to them both.

Charlo is saying what he can to sell himself as something special, and to sell a fight with Tszyu. To be honest, Harrison is, and has always been a mediocre boxer, at best. He was given a gift decision over Charlo in their first fight. Charlo focused and won the rematch, the way he should have the first time around.

Harrison is doing very well as a trainer. Some boxers do much better as trainers than they do as pro boxers.

Jermell is right! Poor Tone had 3 losses by KO b4 Tszyu! Tone is good, but not on Charlo's level. Charlo vs.Tszyu, is Charlo vs. Castano 2.0. Charlo learned from that first fight, and adapted. Can Tszyu adapt to Charlo? He hasn't fought anyone close to that level of skill. Time will tell. Should be a great fight!

Tony wasn't all that before Charlo, in hindsight. Charlo effed up, had a bad night, didn't eat his Wheaties, but this is what Tim is hanging his hat on.

If Charlod hand is fully healed, theres nothing from Tim that should bother him. Outside of Tim catching Charlo with some something crazy, I got Charlo by wide punishing UD. Tim is there to be hit.

Harrison would likely still give Charlo major issues if they fought a 3rd, even now. He was absolutely clowning Charlo in the 2nd fight before getting caught late. But Harrison has always had a concentration and durability issue. Neither man's victory over Harrison weighs much on who'll win between them. Both have many flaws that can be exploited by the other.

The real question is how much Tzsyu have to offer because we've seen the best of Charlo. Does Tzsyu have another level, or has he already plateaued? That might not be enough to take Charlo out.

Harrison would absolutely freeze up when he got hit Saturday - he wouldn't return fire or even hold, he'd just stand there. During the final moments when he was getting hit with everything this was scary to watch.

                    He needs to retire immediately.
