    Boxing fan since the 70s/80s,
    Ufc fan since it began.
Derrick Lewis out boxed Ngannou, Gane was also out boxing Ngannou. It might be Ngannou's first love but he can't box.

It's a money fight for the casuals that will sell & I'll definitely watch it depending on the time zone, or in the morning with a cuppa Joe & a full english.

If Nganniu makes his boxing debut in a ring against Wilder he's getting brutally ko'd.

If Wilder takes this fight, it will prove once again that he lacks intelligence and a high boxing IQ. He is on borrowed time and should focus on only Ruiz, Usyk, and lastly Joshua. That's it! That's where the money lies, and where his legacy stands. An upset loss against an MMA fighter turned rookie pro boxer will be career suicide for Deontay.

I was hoping for Wilder vs. Ruiz! Ngannou will bring in more money than Ruiz, and less risk than Ruiz! Wilder knows his time is up! He's looking for the big bag, while waiting on Joshua!

Not a good look for him.
I don't think he's scared of Ruiz Jr. There is just so much more upside, beyond the huge money differential, in fighting Ngannou.

I don't either, but Deontay will get no respect from boxing/mma fans for knocking this dude clean out.

Agree. Wilder doesn't seem to be in line for a fight with any of the top 3 HWs (Fury, Usyk, AJ), so, moneywise, the next tier in boxing is a steep drop. He wouldn't earn great respect from boxing fans for KOing Ngannou, but his overall exposure in the sporting world would increase massively. This means much more money and negotiating power in whatever opportunities come next.

Ngannou would be ****** not to make more buzz for himself before jumping in with Wilder. Ngannou gets slept by Wilder and will lose all credibility in combat Sports.

Glad your not anybody's manager. Wilder is not in line for Usyk and AJ doesn't seem to want to fight him. Ruiz Jr is a fun fight, but it brings peanuts compared to a Ngannou fight. Fighting and KOing a reigning (yes, I know UFC closed the doors on him) UFC HW champion does so much more for Wilder financially and in terms of exposure than a Ruiz Jr fight ever could. I personally think Ruiz Jr beats him, but the general sports fan doesn't so if Wilder does fight and beat Ruiz Jr, it doesn't change his position or status at all.

                      I mean...

As great a fighter as Francis is would it not make more sense to get some boxing fights in first before taking on a former heavyweight champion?

it will generate public interest sure and would be entertaining but when you put a cage fighter in the boxing ring the boxer will have the advantage as will vice versa a cage fighter will have the advantage against a boxer in the Octagon..
