If they both fight in the same weight class, then? Do these stipulations stand for both fighters?
If that is the case then basically, they are both dealing with the same challenge.
I will have to read into this more.
If the re-hydration clause is only aimed at Garcia, then this is not really pure competition in my opinion 'And slightly devalues the fight'.
Still a great fight, and good match making 'But unnecessary stipulation'.

I.E Because Garcia fought his last fight at 140 pounds.
I guess this is what promoters do in this modern era to increase the likely-hood of their fighter winning.
Depending on who you are backing in this fight, this is a promoter doing a good job for their fighter.
But for boxing fans and the purity of competition. It is definitely unnecessary.
I have stated many times that, the competition in the lower weight divisions in this modern era 'The purity of it, is possibly the worst it has ever been'.
The weight draining, catch weights, re-hydration clauses 'People don't know what they are watching'.
Still regardless this is a good fight. I enjoyed Romero vs Davis fight, the build up.
And this is another one of those themed type American fights 'But a bigger event and more significant'.

Regardless, contract or not, I'm down for a $500 bet. If you renege after Tank blasts Ryan, I will never let you live it down.
$500 it is....TheIronMike likes this.
