Will he get any respect? If he wins his next 12 fights by knockout will he get any respect? Lets have a serious answer from Soundtraveler and oldgringo on this question.

O.K., if you want a serious answer, Rahman is not a quality Heavyweight either, and to beat him is not going to improve Vitali's reputation. The lack of quality fighters in the division combined with the fact that Vitali is just simply bigger than everyone else in the division is the ONLY reason he will be able to keep the belts. It won't be because of his skills as a boxer, because he doesn't offer much skill wise.

Vitali is lucky he didn't come along when the division included Foreman, Norton, Shavers, Ali, Frazier, Lyle to name a few. All of which would either KO him or have his face looking like it did against Lennox. He would have been nothing more than a second tier fighter had he come along then.

The funny thing is, the nuthuggers are unable to recognize him for what he is, and that is a Grade B fighter who is in a division full of Grade C and Grade D competition. I mean damn, Ruiz is the worst excuse for a boxer that I have ever seen - and most of the competition in the division can't even beat him!

So if you want to say Vitali is the biggest and best terd in the pile of crap that is the Heavyweight Division today, I would have to agree, but don't come up to me telling me he is a great fighter, because he isn't...

This isn't a kick boxing event, and he doesn't dance around the ring like Sugar Ray Leonard, so what's the friggin' deal?!

              Screw Quitali...

....Calling him great is premature but degrading him in the fashion that you are is way too harsh. Because of his size which you pointed out and his strength I think all of those guys you mentioned would have had a hard time with him. He is very awkward(not unskilled), hard to hit, punches extremely hard, has a great chin, and is extremely focused and intense every single time he enters the ring. What more can you ask for from the guy? He has also never been dropped and has literaly outboxed every guy he has ever faced. Man if that's unskilled then I will take that kind of unskilled any day. So, your saying that no matter who comes along and no matter how highly skilled they might be, it still won't matter in your opinion even if Vitali knocks them out? Man Soundtraveler, I love ya, but you just basically defined the term hater with your response. Give Vitali a frickin break already my man. I never saw you jump on him before like this, am I missing something?

A hater, he is, unfortunately. At least Sounds looks like one at the moment.
