Ryder has fought Smith and Jacobs which are infinitely better than anyone that Andrade has.

Canelo has made it clear that the way to get to fight him is to become a bigger name yourself but Andrade like Benavidez and Charlo just want to whine that he should be fighting them without going in against anyone of note. Finally Benavidez has got the message but Plant is already damaged goods so even if he wins it will be with an asterisk against it.
He's mandatory because Canelo lobbied for him to be mandatory so he can have yet another gimme fight. Canelo has zero interest in fighting the Beterbievs and Benavidez or the world. He's good with the cherry picking (gone wrong in the case of Bivol.) John Ryder wouldn't be in the ring if he was any kind of a challenge. He's there because Canelo put him there. Not because he's any kind of a decent fighter. He sucks period.

Benavidez is way more of a challenge than Ryder. And Canelo chose Ryder. Because that's the easy fight. He's doing the same thing he did with GGG, trying to let him slip for a few years. Once Benavidez looks beatable he'll push hard for that fight guaranteed.

          Benavidez already looks beatable.

Ryder is ranked in the Top 5 at Super Middleweight, by the way.

No, he’s mandatory because he beat Zach Parker who Demetrius Andrade wouldn’t fight.

I don't think Alvarez can't really be criticized for this fight 'It is a solid ticking over fight'.

And Alvarez did beat Golovkin in his last fight who is still a World to Elite level fighter.

At this staged of Alvarez's career, most of his work is going to be achieved in the gym.

Alvarez is a vastly experienced fighter, therefore right now? This level of a fight is most likely want he needs 'Stay active, and consistent with training' etc.

I wonder this fight's PPV sales. PPV would be cheaper than average to attract more Mexicans. Maybe around 700k like Plant.

Canelo still makes around $25m but won't reach $40m.

55k tickets and 700k PPV would be pretty good.
