He already cashed out. He is not fighting for money at this point. And I'm not even sure why he hasn't retired yet.. he had an amazing career and nothing left to prove at 41.

The ruling comes nearly a full month after the sanctioning body instructed the two sides to reenter talks on February 8, though with the 15-day negotiation period ending with little progress made.

But he sure is one dimensional and has slowed way down and is very hittable these days.

What does he want in his twilight fights? Does he even really want to keep going? Does this fight make financial sense? Does it set up something big as a farewell bout?

Does even he know any of these answers?
He must be fighting for more money because virtually nothing he can realistically accomplish will enhance his legacy.

This is a fight that shouldn't happen and has no need to happen. Lara has mostly lost his ability to move. Golovkin has largely lost his ability to close down the ring. The whole fight depends on whether Lara can stay away from Golovkin for 12 rounds.

Golovkin woulda destroyed Lara back when Lara was using his name to get attention. Now golovkin is 40 and slipped alot to how he used to be. I think GGG should still win

Cash out usually means you’re gonna take a guaranteed L for the biggest purse. Don’t think munguia is nearly good enough to get a certain win over even this old and depleted version of ggg.

Lara will do okay for the first 6 rounds but will get battered after that. Doubt he has the legs to run like he did in the Canelo fight.

I'm here to say Canelo has Erislandy Lara problems.

Excellent fight for 2 aged fighters should probably pay out 12m-15m GGG 3-5m Lara. Hopefully the winner takes on Carlos Adames.
