I don't understand why a lot of Canelo fans are hoping for Benavidez to lose....seems weird to me.

Why wouldn't you want Benavidez to look outstanding so then Canelo can have another big fight on the horizon? Especially considering that Canelo's resume lacks career defining fights against prime fighters.

Canelo vs Benavidez can be built into a sort of De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas type of fight.
