Richard, funny you say that. I’ve seen Gassiev fight before and never noticed that. Looks like some kind of dermatology issue. Regardless, it obviously doesn’t affect his fighting capabilities

He had it - at least in part - the Welch fight last August but not against Sefari in 2020. There's a picture here from the Wallisch fight in between the two that kinda looks like there's just a hint of it along his jawline:

I liked Gassiev a ton. Thought he would be a better HW than he was a CW because I truly saw power and bad intentions in him.

But he needs to accelerate here. There are some younger fighters in the HW division WAY ahead of him in the pecking order. He has done zero to make a serious run. 29 is fine, at least 3-4 years left. But the reality is not only is he not even an afterthought in this division, no one iheard of him to consider him a viable fighter. Apathy is the worst place to be in sports or entertainment. He needs quality wins NOW if he wants anything to happen in 2024 or 2025, because he will get zero big fights this year.

That's what i thought. It looks like he was coming second best in a fight with his shaver until he pulled it out with a big shot to take the win.
