Humor please, do you think Floyd is a “runner”?
And just FYI, SRL “ran in almost all his fights above the Welter Weight division. All you have to do is just go to YouTube.

To be clear, SRL is one of my favorite fighters and I don’t consider that strategy “running”. If I wanna watch caveman fighting style I can go to the bar near me and watch drunks throw haymakers at each other.

Some fights you fight to look good, and there are fights where you just have to win. Leonard made the necessary adjustments and made Duran quit. If Plant is good enough to frustrate somebody into quitting, his method would be more acceptable.

We all know that Ray Leonard was versatile. He could be hunted and be the hunter in the same fight. He wasnt afraid to exchange, it was only strategy at times. And his fights above 147 isnt that relevant because he was past it. And he may not have been himself with Hagler but when you look at the circumstances of coming back from long layoff/injury, it's remarkable what he did.

It's impossible to be exciting in every fight but Plant is generally boring, that's my point.

Dude, you cant be mentioning these exceptional fighters like Floyd because his " boring " style kept him undefeated since the 90s.

PBC leading the way with 3 champions in a sport with 19 divisions and 4 titles in each division. It's been this way for 30 years. I was going to make fun of you homely lames, but James Blunt has softened my heart. So I'll let you lame as/s victims cry and complain and think you're the best at everything with no facts to back it up. It's okay. I am not your friend you're not my homie just 2 grown men typing away. No need for the negativity.

Nothing wrong with running. It's the holding. I haven't seen the fight. I'm not 80. So I don't know what that crack head did.

Plan A - Stick and move. Outbox David for 12 rounds

Plan B - Fight with David in the pocket

Plan C - Come forward and try to push David back

          All 3 will fail unfortunately

Benavidez-Plant will come down to who dictates the pace and space, plain and simple.

Plant has to stop his forward momentum by bullying the bully and forcing him backward or making him pay for moving forward. I’ve seen boxers like Plant be successful at both in similar matchups.

I have Benavidez winning. He is a juggernaut, ferocious once he gets his momentum going, but boxing is boxing and there are ways to muck it up and slow down the pace.

Plant will have to pull out all of the stops plus have winning confidence and be in great shape, mentally and physically, to beat DB.

cmon man. They waited for Duran to blow up and party his ass off then offered him the rematch. The Duran that fought SRLthe 2nd time wasn’t close to the form of the one that beat him.
