Jmm 130 vs Cotto 140? I feel both were best at those weights. It is a hard one. JMM on the surface has more fluidity and great timing. Cotto has more tenacity and fantastic timing himself. Jmm has more of a punch arsenal but Cotto's is pretty good also.

I would lean towards jmm, but very slightly. If they were naturally both the same weight it would be a freaking war and I would not want to bet on who the winner would be.

Oh, so a Cotto fan who doesn't agree with you can't vote in your poll w/o becoming an instant nutthugger??

But this guy who agrees with you is ok...not a nuthugger. Gotcha.

He must be really "unproud" of himself by now, wishing he never started this hate thread disguised as a poll.

So now we can't just be fans? Wow...Bully, give it up. Just admit you hate Cotto. You'll feel better after you let out all that pent up frustration.
You purposly set this thread up to try to discredit Cotto...lol. It's ok, really...we still like you.

It would be good for the first 8 rounds IMO, but we all know Cotto tires late, and the last person you can tire late against is JMM. Ask Casamayor and Juan Diaz, Barerra, Juarez and others.

P4P JMM can fight anyone and be right up there. Cotto at 140 was a relentless beast who pounded opponents for every second of every round.

Nobody should question or underestimate Cotto. He may no longer be the fighter he was. At his best though he was an animal in there.

He has a propensity to tire late now. At 140 he did not have that problem.

To be fair he only tires against top fighter, but JMM is better than any guy he fought. And if you tire against JMM chances are you will get stopped.

He didn't show much of a problem going 12 rounds with a very tough Clottey with basically one eye either. That was @ 146. Cotto ended that fight with a beautiful left hook right to Clotteys jaw. He's a true warrior.

I tend to agree with your friend Dean... if they were of the same build and natural weight class, i would not bet on who would win either.
