Exactly how I expected. Someone with limited boxing ability but naturally quite athletic against someone with a bit more boxing experience from a younger age.
It was one sided in reality. If they fight again, Tommy will smash him now he’s not carrying all that expectation on his shoulders where he would be ridiculed forever for a loss. He will be much more relaxed next time and do him.
in reality, Jake Paul’s best attributes are pretty much stuff that comes natural to people. he can probably take a shot well enough, probably decent power and he’s game to fight and quite athletic. That’s things hasn’t really needed to learn but the actual boxing side of things that you need to learn, it’s just not that natural to him I think.
He’s ok though, if you are a YouTuber or coming from a different sport with no real boxing background, then he will likely beat you quite comfortably, but he’s just not going to have the ability to beat someone with some sort of real boxing background.
The understanding of boxing and the boxing coordination between the two was clear to see
As for Tommy Fury, I actually think he could’ve been a good fighter if he had taken it consistently seriously from a young age. He actually has a good jab and can move pretty well and coordinated while jabbing at the same time. There’s a lot of good pros who don’t even do that very well. But at 23, although not old, I think he’s left it too late to have the consistent development to catch up where his natural ability could’ve actually taken him. I think there was a decent fighter in there somewhere.
