Do you now consider Jake Paul to be a professional boxer?

I was impressed and a bit in shock with what I saw from Jake Paul yesterday. I thought Tommy would just iron him out within 2 rounds but he held his own and landed some really good shots. For someone that has only done boxing for 3 years, to go the full distance with a professional boxer in tommy fury and to actually make it a decent fight was impressive.

Did Jake earn your respect? Do you now consider him to be a pro boxer and not a YouTube one

He's a pro boxer but that doesn't mean he is any good.

Going the distance with Tommy is what I expected he can't even stop 150lb midget MMA fighters.
All show and no good. He has no pop whatsoever. Just a featherfisted arm-puncher that doesn't even punch through his target but guess that is why he was selected. Big name and the least riskiest pro boxer Jake could have entertained.

      1. What does a pro boxer mean? Id say yes. Even boxers who lose more than win can be called pro, they're journeymen

Anytime someone tells me their a professional fighter I ask them how many amateur fights they had. Half the time the answer is 0 .

My friend is a pro boxer. His record is 1-0. he was never even a good amateur, to begin with.

Being a pro boxer doesn`t mean you are good.

It’s strange isn’t it when you get the likes of Lyndon Arthur claiming Tommy Fury is the biggest puncher he has sparred, but then that doesn’t seem possible at all when you actually watch him fight. Who knows, maybe he just hasn’t got the composure yet under the spotlight to actually land or set up the shots the way he needs to. He might have a real dig on him when he’s relaxed and gets some leverage into it. He has freaky long arms for his height, so it’s possible

But it’s like I remember Shane Mosley in one interview saying that Mayweather and Pacquiao have pretty much equal power after he fought them, but nobody would agree with that from what we see in the ring. Pac even dropped Mosley.

boxers are a strange bunch for sure.

Tommy is like Dan Donnelly, the boxer from the 1700

I've seen worse guys than Jake in the ring, that's for sure.

He is technically. My opinion hasn't changes whatsoever.
