Strange that the negotiations are confirmed as real, but yet Hearn is publicly trying to come up with reasons it can't happen. Maybe Bivol's co-promoter left him out of the talks and he's feeling bitter.

Hearn is trying to make excuses for it not to happen, he doesn’t want to risk it, he keeps trying to push Buatsi on Bivol, that nobody is interested in.Comment

Only one of his opponents technically in his last 5 technically cross into both Europe and Asia at once and that's the man that beat him...
You must be feeling some type of way, but it doesn't show strength of character, profanity is always the last resort of the weak or limited.
That said I was wrong when I stated European, because some of his last opponent's were Asian, or Eurasian (shared border's between Europe, and Asia).
Troubled response's such as your's is what lead's me to believe that there would be rioting in the street's if Canelo were to lose at home. That is all!
The fight is less than 3 month's away, we will all see how thing's turn out, I'll try to remember your reply, and comment on it afterward.
1. Kazakhstan/ Central Asia
2. Russia/"Eurasian" 23% "Europe" 77% in Asia
3. North American.
4. European/British.
5. Western Asia/Turkey.
I don't care what Mexicans do in the streets my issue was with your assertion in relation to "feasting" on Europeans.
He's fought just as many South Americans, North Americans and Mexicans but people don't maintain the idea he "feasted" on them...It's clearly narrative driven with you and your ilk.Comment

I agree, and I couldn't imagine that Callum would be intimidated by Canelo, yet not by Beterbiev. Canelo can crack for his size, but doesn't seem to have above average power at light heavyweight, at least not against Bivol, who wasn't really bothered by Canelo's punches. He obviously knocked out Kovalev, but Sergei was clearly past it at that point, so I personally don't put too much stock into that win.Comment

Interesting take. I haven't even considered that Canelo could be close to retirement, but maybe he is. Like you said, he doesn't seem to be as passionate as he was when he was younger, and he has a lot of wear and tear on the body after fighting for so long, so yeah it would make sense if he did retire, and I think that Bivol does have his number. Will sound nutty to some, but I kind of feel like Canelo will not end up fighting Bivol again. I believe Canelo knows he will never beat him, and he can make a boatload of money fighting other guys, win, and retire talking about how great he is. I think Hearn saying "Canelo definitely wants the rematch" is BS to keep everyone anticipating. No way do I see Canelo risking his belts at 168 against Bivol, he loses that fight and then he is totally embarrassed. I can honestly see Canelo retiring after Ryder and blaming it on an injury or something, or else Ryder and then another guy he knows he will beat. At this point he is super rich, wants to golf and drink. The fire isn't there, and he himself knows he is on the decline.
IMO Biev beats Bivol if the fight happens within the next two years. Eventually time will catch up and Biev will not be elite, but Yearde tested him and fought the best fight he could fight, and Biev smashed him, while showing he can take huge punches and keep coming. Bivol is a very good boxer, but he does not have the power to keep Biev away. Bivol will look very good for five or six rounds, and then begin to wilt, and then Biev will hurt him. I like both fighters, but at this moment. Biev is all wrong for him.
As for Beterbiev vs Bivol, I mostly see things the same way, though I can also see Bivol having a similar approach to the Canelo fight and outbox Artur from the outside. It's such a fascinating match up, and hopefully boxing politics won't interfere, so we can finally see who's better.Comment

Smith was intimidated by John Ryder lol. Beterbiev destroys him with ease
