Hope it does happen anyway bc it seems like a fan-friendly scrap with title implications on the line(even tho Hrgovic won an eliminator already). These sanctioning bodies love bending their own rules at the expense of the fighters and it probably isn't ever gonna change.
I say the same thing. Ruiz isn't fighting for $435k or whatever his end comes out to.

So this fight doesn't happen. Ruiz has very little to win here after Zhang made Hrgovic look basic. If Andy beats him he beats a bum. Hrgovic is the new Kownacki winning fights by taking punches to the face until his chin is gone then he loses to a Turkish carpet salesman.

As for this fight, i got Ruiz by stoppage. Hrg is too slow. He was gettin ****** by Zhang who is slow af. Once Ruiz gets going hes gonna piece up Hrgovic.

IBF rules are clear in these circumstances, the guy who won the eliminator gets the lion's share.
hey can have all the rules they like - and in this case those rules fly in the face of common sense as other posters have pointed out - Ruiz is not desperate and will go another more lucrative route

No way Andy Ruiz will go for that

looking at the IBF rankings, it’s pretty clear none of their top 5 or so fighters are taking that fight due to the split.

The next 3 likely options after those that could take it are Bakole, Frank Sanchez and Kabayel

So if Ruiz declines and Wilder does too is Joshua next in line? Good old Eddie

Oh, IBF, what are you doing?!
                    Why Ruiz a smaller %?!
Go against your own rules this time, too, and give Ruiz a higher % considering he's a Haymon guy. That's how it works.

The IBF might as well have said 'We approve that Andy Ruiz take a different direction'
