Comments Thread For: Hrgovic-Ruiz: IBF Board Approves 60/40 Split For Hrgovic Ahead Of February 23 Purse Bid Hearing

Filip Hrgovic will enjoy the favorable end of the purse split with Andy Ruiz. That's if their fight actually sees the light of day. The IBF Board of Directors voted on Wednesday for the ordered Hrgovic-Ruiz interim IBF heavyweight title fight to carry a 60/40 split in favor of Hrgovic. The ruling comes ahead of the scheduled purse bid hearing due to take place Thursday, 12:00 p.m. ET at IBF headquarters in Springfield, New Jersey.

So Wilder just ducked Ruiz like a sucka. I dont even wanna hear none of yall Beyonce B!tches speak. Crazy part is i think Wilder easily beats Ruiz too. What a fcukin clown.

As for this fight, i got Ruiz by stoppage. Hrg is too slow. He was gettin ****** by Zhang who is slow af. Once Ruiz gets going hes gonna piece up Hrgovic.

Boxing is a business. Andy Ruiz should be getting the bigger money split because he sells more , that other guy doesn’t even sell. He doesn’t have the fans Ruiz has. Not even 1/3

          50/50 would be fair.

            Ruiz isn’t taking this garbage..

IBF is a bonafide joke, Ruiz can go take a tune up fight and make more money then Hrgovic would make.. let alone if he can come to terms with Wilder for a PPV

Hrgovic won an IBF eliminator to earn a top 2 rating.

Ruiz hasn't won an IBF eliminator and isn't in the top 2.

IBF rules are clear in these circumstances, the guy who won the eliminator gets the lion's share.

This probably ain't gonna happen. Not much money in it and Ruiz can make more money fighting somebody else being that he is somewhat of a draw and Hrgovic is completely unknown. Plus, if the Hrgovic that fought Zhang shows up to fight Ruiz, he gets hammered unless Ruiz comes in in the shape he did for the Joshua rematch. Hope it does happen anyway bc it seems like a fan-friendly scrap with title implications on the line(even tho Hrgovic won an eliminator already). These sanctioning bodies love bending their own rules at the expense of the fighters and it probably isn't ever gonna change.

Pointless article. This fight isn't happening for the same reason many other "mandated" fights never happen: Top 10 contenders with financial backing are not fighting for peanuts in an eliminator. Simply not happening, so don't hold your breath.
