Plans have been expedited to find a taker for a heavyweight title fight that may not ultimately happen. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that the IBF has bumped up the purse bid for Filip Hrgovic-Andy Ruiz interim heavyweight title fight. The sanctioning body has now scheduled the hearing to February 23 from its previously announced February 28 date.

No way this fight is happening. Andy will let the IBF know within a day or two he will not enforce his position and continue pursuing the WBC instead.

If Ruiz vs Wilder isn't going to happen, then Ruiz should just opt to fight Hrgovic. If he wants to stand a chance at against the top contenders, he most keep busy. Guy wasted two long years before facing Arreola and then waited another year to face Ortiz (16 months exactly).

So IBF have a rule, no interim belt unless the champ is injured. They also have a rule, no purse bids for interim belt fights. But they're gonna ignore their own rules because hey why not? Seems strange to do it for a fight that probably never happens due to lack of interest.

It’s starting to seem that fury/Usyk might not happen which if it doesn’t leads me to believe Usyk will fight wilder. This could be the reason wilder/ruiz hasn’t been made yet. Wilder team might be waiting to see if fury/Usyk gets done. Usyk has expressed interest in fighting wilder in the past.

If Usyk doesn't fight Fury he will have to fight one of his mandatories. They've already been called. The only way he fights Wilder is if he drops the belts or some dodgy deal is made. Guess it could happen then !

Except the article states both camps are interested in the fight that’s why they are moving the date sooner to have the purse bids . If it’s not happening no one told Andy because there’s obviously a plan to have a purse bid 2 days from now . Lol
