Duran is someone without a size advantage I can see taking at least one fight in a Mayweather trilogy

the others being Whitaker and Armstrong

Depends when they fight for me. At 135, I’d take Duran all day, I don’t believe Floyd had the ring IQ at that stage of his career to negate the ferocity of a fighter like Duran.

At 147 though, I just think Floyd’s ring IQ was so high, he’d give Duran the same sort of problems Ray gave him in the rematch or Benitez gave him.

It’s admittedly completely subjective though, I can see an argument for either winning.

Given Duran’s wide array of skills what would he opt for while fighting manny?

Well, to be fair, Duran had problems with Leonard in the 2nd fight because he wasn't in fighting shape.

Leonard knew Duran wasn't in shape for a rematch because he went down to Panama & got fat and out of shape, so he had the promoter hurry up and schedule the rematch.

Benitez was a great fighter, but he also caught Duran post "No Mas"

The Duran that beat Leonard on that day in 1980 would be hell on anybody who ever lived at 147 and I think would be too much for Pacquaio or Floyd

Yeah that’s a good point, Duran was never the same after the Leonard win. He lost his hunger ironically.

You could also argue Leonard got it badly wrong tactically in the first fight too.

That’s why it’s always hard predicting these fantasy matchups as there’s so many ways of analysing it.
