How Duran Would Fight manny pacq

    Fight takes place @ 147

Given Duran’s wide array of skills what would he opt for while fighting manny?

He’d force Pacquiao onto the back foot IMO. Would be interesting to see how Duran dealt with Pac’s speed. I think he’s definitely be the fastest guy Duran had been in there with.

Yeah Duran was probably the stronger man and they both would be trying to land big shots but I can see Duran trying to utilize his strength and put Manny on the back foot.

I don’t have pics of either of these 2 on my wall but I do respect both and have thought about this matchup often.

They had similar sort of careers in the way they climbed the weights, both fought and won titles well beyond their natural weight.

I would pick Duran if it was the pre-Leonard version, I would pick Duran to beat anybody in history at Lightweight. He was an animal at 135.

True but I’m a Floydiot. I think Floyd would always be tough to beat at 135/ 140 perhaps.

The Duran that beat Leonard would knock out Pacquiao.

Relentless pressure with smart boxing that renders speed meaningless.

I think he’d definitely beat the PBF version, the Floyd that fought Castillo gets convincingly beat by Duran IMO. We’ll admittedly never know though, it’s completely subjective.
