Warrington would always have an uphill battle with Lara because he's feather fisted. Warrington wants to swarm and be physical, but that approach puts him in serious trouble if he can't make Lara respect him.

I don't mind Wood/Warrington in the interim. If Hearn can't get a unification and Kiko wins his April fight, then.....maybe Kiko/Lara?

Lara is all wrong for Warrington

In fairness to Warrington, everyone that fought him says he hits much harder than his record shows, and it’s probably true because he’s had enough power to keep
good fighters honest, but I still think his swarming style is risky against Lara.

Wood actually showed what you need to do when he kept it long. Lara isn’t that effective if you keep your distance and throw hard well timed shots, plus go to the body because Lara doesn’t like it. But he also showed what not to do, stay too long in the pocket. The best thing to do is just tie up once you get too close. Wood could have a successful rematch if he had a very strict game plan.

Warrington isn’t really too good at any of those things though. I just don’t see how he beats Lara. Classic case of styles making fights.
