  • Look at his legs on the way back to the corner to protest, he was done.

Ben saved him from getting taken out on a stretcher

    • 12 seconds to go... wood clearly severely hurt... Lara a monstrous puncher.... a gamble Davis wasnt willin to take for his fighter, got to respect that.. but could Wood have scambled and held on for the remaining 12 secs... survive and recover in the break... guess we will never know..

        • Curious what happens next with Lara. My gut feeling is that he's badly drained at 126 and would be best off at 130, but the money options are there at 126 for him. Wood rematch? Warrington trilogy? Unification with Lopez? Very interested to see what he does next.

Tough loss for Wood on a night when he was boxing so well. I'd like to see him come back with a rematch against Jazza ****ens

That's how it is in the UK. Kiko Martinez jumped around the ring while Kid Galahad was lying on the canvas. The ref stopped him. Kiko's entourage won't even climb the ring to celebrate with the winner.

Good job from Ben imho he was real badly hurt
Yep I agree, he was done

I mean, will never know how he would’ve recovered because he didn’t get a chance, but even when he was stood in the corner after the fight, he still looked unsteady

                • The referee should have waved that off.
Good for Ben looking out for his fighter.

I see why it was anti-climatic but that was the right call for me, no doubt about it.

                  • Epic fights are made because of the drama. Wood got up and was coherent enough to complain to the corner as they threw the towel in. Now we will never know.

                    • Ben Davison lost his head there with only 10 seconds left in the round. Imagine if he had thrown the towel in when Wilder dropped Fury in the 12th, we would be in an alternative timeline.
