Because making 160 at that age already had an affect on him. Why did he look so much better when he moved up? Now what I mean?

This is what I typed in another thread. When people compared Mayweather to B-Hop.

Tito was legit at 160, having knocked out William Joppy. Not only did he win, he dominated. He was also the under dog against Tarver; skipping 168, not only did most experts say Tarver was gonna retire him, B-Hop dominated. We already know how most, including here on NSB picked Pavlik to win by K.O, B-Hop went on to dominate. People love to discredit B-Hop's win over DLH but don't acknowledge the fact that it took place at a catch weight of 156, 2 pounds higher then DLH's natural weight, B-Hop was the first to stop him. Then retired undefeated Joe Lipsey, completely dominated and stopped Glen Johnson. Also names that deserve a mention, Mercado, Joppy, Winky, Eastman, Echols, Joe Lipsey, Holmes.... 21 title defenses. In my opinion, beat Taylor in the rematch and beat Calzaghe, I scored that 114-113 B-Hop. At that age, being elite, that is an accomplishment in itself.

You can't make a case for Floyd. Mayweather would have to beat Shane and the winner of Cotto vs Pacquiao.

He moved up and lost to Calzaghe... Whoop-de-doo.

I know he did beat a has-been or two and that Pavlik goofball.

I won't be hard on him, only for the Taylor fights. Cuz he lost me money.

I have respect for the elderly.

Making 160 was a serious problem, he wasn't looking too good against DLH, Eastman and then went on to face Taylor. Despite all that, I had B-Hop winning the rematch against Taylor, at 168...B-Hop vs Taylor would have been alot different.

Hopkins is a ****ing joke, everyone knows that. He cheats, headbuts, holds, anything to win a fight. He had to cheat to even get CLOSE to beating Calzaghe.

He just proved he's a joke by signing to fight the what, 5th best LHW in the world instead of waiting for Dawson.

Hey guys, I'm not even a Hopkins fan. I will watch his fights and I've seen all of them but I don't consider myself a fan of his at all. I also find him rather boring.

If you also bothered to actually read my post, I said he didn't do that to all of his opponents but that he certainly did it to Tito, and Pavlik. Though we don't know if Pavlik is ruined yet.

                      Geez....****s.

I'm not even saying this about Hopkins per se. Any fighter that gives you that type of beatdown, in which you can't land anything and he is able to do what he wants ruins you. It takes your fighting spirit. I mean a Pavlik/B-Hop beatdown is much worse than a Pac beatdown where you get caught with one big punch. A fighter might have been winning a fight until he gets KO'd. You know what I'm saying? I don't think Hopkins did it with many fighters at all though. Like it or not, he did do it to some of his opponents and he was a good fighter. Overrated by some, underrated by others. Either way, I really don't care which.
