Edgar Berlanga has chosen a new promoter. BoxingScene.com has learned that the undefeated super middleweight contender and Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing have agreed to terms on a multi-fight agreement. The promotional plan for Berlanga, whose fights will now be streamed by DAZN through its exclusive content deal with Matchroom, is for him to fight Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez as part of this contract.

Don't want to see Canelo fight Berlanga until he's fought one of Benavidez/Plant/Morrell. Interested to see who they put Berlanga in with next. Maybe Cullen if he gives Pacheco a good fight? Vaughn Alexander?

Damn Berlanga, now you're going to be facing garbage Euro-boxers and maybe a Cinnabon throw away fight in the future when he wants to avoid Benavidez, Morrell, and all the smoke on Showtime. But if Fast Eddie is going to overpay you for it, good for you, until you end up like Andrade. Edward promised Doo Doo the Cinnabon and GGG fight as well, look at how that turned out.

OK Edgar, glad you gotta nice bag, but please don't play the "everyone is avoiding me act" now that you've signed with MatchRoom!

Why is it going to take another addition couple of month's of delaying Edgar Berlanga ring return?
Look for his return to be slated for the Puerto Rican Day Parade weekend in June, which will make it almost 1 year of inactivity.
He should've had a fight in late February, or early March, and then made a bigger return fight in June at the MSG.
He better get in at least 2-3 fight's against some ranked fighter's, before he challenge's Canelo, to build up interest in that fight.
Number 1. lets see who he fight's first, 2. Lets see who he does in that first fight back, 3. Lets see who next opponent is after that, etc, etc, etc.

Thinking about it, a good fight next would be McCrory. IBO champ, Irish so that will help at MSG or wherever he'll fight in the US. Pretty good fight and they can make that for June.

Garbage.. face Rocky Fielding types until he can be another can to kick for Canelo..

Boricuas don’t even support this guy, they see the fraud in him… good luck.
