Yeah he would lose to all of the top guys at PBC so at least he has a chance to grow with some of the fighters he can possibly beat at Matchroom people want to rush this kid into a downfall, he's still young I don't see him becoming a superstar in terms of P4P rankings but let him at least build a bit before getting throw into the wolves.

Berlanga’s maximum value is a Puerto Rican opponent for Canelo. Have him beat Chavez jr and Rosado and you can have him v Canelo next May.

Canelo will be looking for a simple easy payday defense after the Bivol fight.

Hearn just bought himself another Dazn Canelo fight that will keep him away from PBC.

Great business move. Not great for boxing fans doe.
Unfortunately, you're probably correct, Benavidez, Morrell, Andrade, and Plant probably knew the bullshxt was coming, but aligned under Showtime to control their own destiny, money wise, and put added pressure on the sanctioning bodies and public opinion to call out the blatant ducking. I believe Cinnabon will vacate before he faces any of those guys except Plant.

Per usual boxing fans ignore the most important part. Dudes can't even master the basics smh. The article says part of this contract is for him to fight Canelo. What does this even mean? Is this what GGG had? Does Canelo know about this? Does this mean he had to agree? The real questions aren't being asked!

How can he sign a contract that says he'll get a Canelo fight but he fight with nobody & never won a belt?

Fast Eddie pushing on sanctioning bodies to move his guy accordingly, no different from Ryder becoming the first mandatory when Benavidez was already the mandatory. A little bit of influence and a lot of money solves the problem of who gets next.

Nice to have DAZN/hearn still willing to toss money around while they try to balance their (boxing) books. Nice for the fighters who can cash it in. Good job Berlanga.

Make a mini tournament between Bumavidez, Bumguia and Bumlanga and winner gets ****d by Canelo.

Mexicans are even better than blacks to product hypejobs.

He won't see Canelo in the ring unless he's sitting ringside. Soon enough, he'll get his a** handed to him. I'm Puerto Rican, live in Puerto Rico and have been a boxing fan since the early 80's. I can tell you that, most of the people I speak to DO NOT care about this dude. I don't wish him bad but, he's not deserving of a Canelo payday.

I can see what is coming here. Hearn just secured another easy opponent for Canelo on DAZN.

Canelo will probably fight Berlanga after Bivol beats him again.

Hearn will milk Berlanga against a few euro bums before feeding him to Canelo.
