Contrary to popular opinion, Leigh Wood couldn't wait to get this one back on the calendar. The reigning WBA featherweight titlist had to laugh at the suggestion that he found a way out of a previously scheduled fight with streaking contender Mauricio 'Bronco' Lara. The two were due to meet last September 24, only for Wood to suffer a biceps injury which forced a postponement.

Nothing can really prepare you for a certain brand of unorthodox killer, the likes pacquiao before, of which Lara belongs to. How many times have I heard decent orthodox fighters say "his style if perfect for us" only to watch them get their faces smashed in before they can even comprehend what's happening to them? This is exactly what's going to happen to Wood this weekend imo.
