To me it might not even depend on who Floyd fights next. 2 mill saw Floyd turn in an uneventful fight against De La Joto and on 9/19 1 mill saw Floyd turn in another uneventful fight.

So, I'm thinkin', it's not even gonna matter if it's PAC or Baldomir that Floyd fights next, the general public may have finally learned their lesson and just say, oh god, it's that boring Floyd again.

i agree with you on that. i'm only referring to the marquez fight. i believe it was enough for people to leave without thinking "well that was a waste."

Let me get this straight, Mayweather only fights talentless bums that for some reason have a huge fanbase? He's so boring that most of the top fighters want a shot at him just for the hell of it?

Mayweather beats Pac and all of the top WW's aside from PWill who is truly feared by all at the WW level.

Apparently not, but how much more will the fans put up with Ugly Boy's snoozerfests.

Think about it, for as many people that bought into the hype, Floyd could've easily turned off alot in the process. How much more can Floyd pull the same rabbit out of the hat w/o the fans throwing the proverbial tomato at him.

The purist will be purist, but there ain't a helluva alot of 'em. Casual fans have itchy remote control fingers.
people tuned in, but now they want floyd to fight the best... they aren't gonna settle for him fighting anymore LWs.

Completely disagree. If Cotto, Pac or Mosley shine on their next bouts, people will tune in, casual fans or not.

If Mayweather continues to draw more and more, then he is an entertaining fighter. Just accept that.

It's a possibility. I don't know how strong a possibility. But, how many more times will the fans pay attention to that "boy crying wolf"
