some of you guys are like broken records - 'oh dear, he didn't KO de la hoya, nobody's gonna buy his next PPV'...'oh dear, he didn't KO Ricky in 2 rounds, like Pac did, nobody's gonna buy his next PPV'...'oh dear, he didn't KO JMM, nobody's gonna buy his next PPV'...

yet, all those fights did ridiculous buys.

Do you really not see the pattern to your whining?

Its funny how the haters are saying the same thing after the Marquez fight that they said before the Marquez fight. Floyd's style has not changed in 39 fights. If people hated his style as much as you and others claim, he wouldn't be generating 1 million PPV.

He wouldn't be on PPV at all. No one slaps down $50 on a fight just for the hell of it. When was the last time you bought a $50 outfit just for the hell of it or paid $50 for a dinner out just for the hell of it or blowed $50 on a sporting event you did not want to see. The answer is NEVER. Floyd is the top star in the sport, whether the haters want to admit it or not. If Pac/Marquez outsells this fight, then you can argue this point, but not now.

Also, this may be a head scratcher for the haters, but if Pacquaio beats Cotto and then Arum decides to put him in the ring with Amir Khan or some other stiff like David Diaz (150,000 PPV) as he had mentioned, Pac's fight won't sell on PPV either!!! Amazing!

Only a dumbass would think that 1 million people would pay $50 to see someone lose, especially when are only about 20 boxing fans in the world who actually thought he would lose. They could have waited for the replay if they wanted to see that. ******ity knows no bounds!!!

trust me, there are plenty of casual fans who enjoy mayweather's elusiveness.
I'm not a casual fan and have never really enjoyed Floyd's fights. For as good as he is, he is quite dull to watch even if one enjoys the pure technical side of boxing.

So if even I think he is boring, I would imagine the poster of this thread is correct and casual fans don't care much for him either.

Mayweather is to boring to watch. He lacks the excitement of past greats like Leonard or Duran or hell dare I say even De la hoya.

Thats why he will never have the epicness of their times. Its a pity, because he could of had it but choose a style that doesn't offer it.

Yes. Right. Its funny how HBO had no confidence in those Mexicans buying an PPV involving Marquez and Diaz or Marquez and Casamayor and only 400,000 people (Mexicans included) tuned in to watch Marquez/Pac II. So sometime between Pacquaio and Mayweather, Marquez pick up 999,000 Mexican fans who were willing to shell out $50 to watch him get his ass whipped by Mayweather.
