Mayer needs Baumgardner, not the other way around, that's the only way the rematch will happen. Alycia has plenty of other fights that she came make money from like Choi, Cameron, and the winner of Taylor-Serrano. If Arum wants the fight as bad as Mayer, then he takes on the risk of losing money on the fight, otherwise Baumgardner has nothing to gain from Mayer, and other options that Mikaela wishes she had, but doesn't without the leverage and attractiveness of the 4 belts, or 5 counting the IBO.

If any fighter wants a fight they get their managers and promoters trying to strike a deal they dont wait for the champion that’s just ****** no matter who made the first fight it was fir undisputed so it was in everyone’s interest to make it , now it’s up to Mayers side to try and persue the fight that they lost officially . The Mayer-Baumgardener rematch is the female fight i want to see the most. Katie Taylor was once great, but we US largely missed it(or didn't care.) Our main impression of her is the bad taste, left by the robbery against Amanda Serrano. When people here think women's boxing, they're thinking about Clarissa Shields first & foremost.
