Hasn't worked that way for a long time now. As a matter of fact, Oscar lost his first fight with Mosley and was still the A side in the rematch. When Mosley complained about it Oscar quoted that no that's not how the business goes. If Castillo would of got that decision over Floyd in their first fight, u best believe Floyd would of still been the A side in the rematch.
In this case though it's tricky cause u can argue that both fighters have equal star quality.

Rolly accepted ALL terms to fight Tank. He got the shot.

It's time for Ryan to back up what he said when he told Oscar to "do whatever" to make the fight. Or did you forget he said that?
Tank been begging for this cherry for 3 years. Now he got it and he want a rematch clause? I blame Gervonta.

I hope the fight don't happen. I'm tired of Tank vs insert hispanic.

I want Tank vs Haney, f$ck Ryan

Tank is going to lose to this "insert hispanic" though.

All these pointless rematches are dragging boxing down. It's not even for a real belt. Tank's team must be worried about something.

Fully support Tank vs. Haney: winner gets Floyd's love.

But for now, Ryan is the B-Side.

When B-Side fighters accept ALL terms, fights get done.

It's like all of you guys here on NSB completely ignored what Ryan HIMSELF said to you in October. Let me remind you:

              image.png

“I want to fight Tank and Tank wants to fight me,” said Garcia. “This fight is what boxing needs right now! I accepted all the terms on my side and instructed my team to get it done exactly as offered. The fans deserve this fight. Our sport needs this fight.
That means ALL TERMS. He said that.

              Then Showtime said:

              image.png
"I wish I could give you a definitive answer. What I can tell you is that our side will sit at the table for as long as it takes. We're not walking away. Tank's not looking at other opportunities. This is going to play out until it's clear that a deal can or can't be made," said Espinoza.

"Tank's side has made the offer. They are driving the business offering. They have a certain view on how the network should work. And that's where things are. If DAZN is going to insist on being involved in a certain way, well, that may or may not kill the opportunity. I don't want that to happen. We're working for that not happen. But at the same time there are certain business realities."
Read what that says. It says that DAZN (the network) is blocking the fight.

Which means Oscar is back in fishnets because his guy apparently wants it and has to answer to a boss who doesn't want it - probably because they want broadcast rights, which they won't get. Because Tank is the A-Side. It's got nothing to do with rematch clause, your guy Ryan is lyin.

If Ryan's team were smart, they'd dump DAZN, join Showtime (like Andrade did) to make these fights. He stays on DAZN because DAZN was doing blank check for him. Like Golovkin.

IF people can't see what's going on here, it's beyond helping.

Just take out the rematch clause. Problem solved.

What’s the point of a rematch clause with no title on the line.
If it’s a good fight and does good business a rematch can be on the table. Winner should have the right to move on to bigger fights for a title.

                      Yeah no.

                      A-Side business.

Ryan said he accepted ALL terms.

So him complaining about a term exposes him as a liar and potentially a ducker.
