This rematch clause is completely out of control , why should a fighter have to beat another one twice , automatically ...it's only there to ensure a greedy promoters gets at least two paydays , ask Eddie Hearn at 'rematch room' !
If the first fight is good enough , the public would demand it and it should of course be on the terms of the guy who won the first , isn't that what wining is all about? ....!

If this is what passes for a super fight now, boxing is in very sad shape. And why does Tank need a rematch clause if he's certain he will win? And why wouldn't the winner of this fight go looking for Haney instead of a rematch?

I have to agree , it's an excellent fight but 'superfight'.....no. Ali v Frazier, Leonard v Hearns , Foreman v Ali , Hagler v Hearns & many more but the special banner should be not given away as a sales tool.

It’s fumbled. Just because Ryan Garcia is dumb enough to accept these terms doesn’t mean anyone else should.

This isn't a super fight, it's a good fight between two young undefeated fighter's at a catch weight.
This rematch clause holding up the fight is a bunch of crap, both of these fighter's should believe that they are going to win.
They haven't even fought yet, but Tank team want's to add a rematch to the contract, what kind a crap is that?
You fight the fight, and if it turns out to be a good enough fight the first time around, the fans will clamor for the rematch to happen.
All this back, and forth between two promotional companies who's fighter's in question have yet to establish themselves as super star's.

It's not, there's no title'(s) on the line, and it's at a catch weight, that says it all, it's just a very good fight period!

They did the same to Crawford, continuing with bs demands and wasting everybodys time til the other team takes another fight, then call it a duck.

How long until they release a statement from both sides saying we will revisit negotiations at a later date and announce a different fight for both of them vs a Mexican cab driver?
