You tried to compare boxing to other sports.

What if the 49 Whinners would only go for field goals knowing how great Jerry Rice is? Is that not wasting talent?

Like I said before the fight. "If Floyd does not knock out Marquez, I would lose any respect I had for him."

Floyd did not even try to knock out the little guy. He was inside the red zone many times and yet he opted for field goals the entire night.

Had Floyd knocked out Marquez, which he should have, then I would be singing a different tune.

Not only did Floyd not knock out Marquez, Floyd peed all over himself when Shane called him out.

So what is Floyd going to do next? Wait for Ivan Calderon to call him out, Floyd's accepts, tells Ivan to move up to 144 and then Mayweather come in on the night of the weigh in @ 146 pounds, pay Calderon off and then pot shot him all night?

30 PUNCHES LANDED in an entire fight is more skillful and impressive then a Knockout..!!!

      that's my opinion

And what is your obsession with PBF Horus? Are you a straight man? Now opinions on him as seen on this forum run so deep in your mind that you think they reflect everyone's? Anybody who does not emphatically endorse his every word and move is not a boxing fan, because you say so? You paint this forum with self righteous garbage every time I see you posting. So what if everyone else does not embrace PBF as strongly as you do? You could have simply asked if fans prefer a brawl or a tactical boxing match. But instead, your modus operandi is to plug PBF and belittle anyone who dare not worship him as strongly as you. Disguising this thread as a question on preference of ring style is weak and transparent. PBF is a rare fighter whose talents we should all respect whether we like him or not. That's as far as it goes. Other people may simply have opinions that differ from yours. Deal with it. Grow up and be a fan, not a stalker.

It has become every so apparent to me that the lines have been draw in the sand when it comes to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On One Side you have the BOXING Fans. Who Praise Him as the one of the Pound 4 Pound best they ever seen, and an all time Legend. I am talking about true boxing fans, those who love the art of boxing and appreciate the skill, discipline and dedication it takes to be truly great in the sport.

On the other side you have the FIGHT fans, those who question Mayweather status as a great fighter and Criticize he fight style as “BORING” “LACKING DRAMA” AND “DOESN’T TAKE RISK”. In simpler terms, the fans that love blood and guts warriors, and who praise raw aggression over season skill, and risk taking over discipline.

So here is the question If you had to pick 1 or the other which one are you and why?

          BOXING FAN
          FIGHT FAN

          Horus: Boxing Fan

          My argument
          Is BOXING IS AN ARTFORM...
Floyd Mayweather jr. has mastered the ARTFORM of boxing
Just look at the compubox numbers!!! He is a plus 32

Why bleed and cut it you don't have too?
I don't blame Floyd for not wanting to be punch drunk.
I don’t want to see him in there just swinging crazy wild ass punches.
That’s not what I expect from or want to see from Floyd, as so called “boxing fans” shouldn’t either.

Could you imagine someone like MIchael Jordan dumbing down his skill level to make a basketball game closer so people can see a more competitive game?

Or Jerry Rice purposely dropping passes so football fans can see how he struggles under pressure.

Allot of "so-called" boxing fans but really are just "FIGHT FANS" are always trying to force Floyd and other fighters that practice the sweet science to abandon their defense and put there chin in the air for there enjoyment.

FLOYD is boxing at its purist form.
So the excitement you should get is not Wanting Floyd to change his game up...

But wanting to see if anybody will take the risk like Castillo did in order to beat Floyd.....

Floyd shouldn’t have to change his style to accommodate FIGHT FANS like you.

BOXING FANS love his style just the way it is...

Totally agree! Fighting is great and I love its place in boxing, but its still second to Boxing. Like you said boxing is an art form and I love and respect it.
I like to watch a great boxer in slow motion, where you can see the art form play out like a martial Art form.
I see the excitement in Fighting and also like it, but the sport is not called fighting its BOXING.
If you really love the sport you accept and like all of its aspects along with all of the fight styles, boxer, KO artist, boxer/puncher, puncher, defensive specialist(my least favorite),and the gifted few that are hybrids(Roy Jones Jr, Floyd Mayweather etc.)
I also like the **** talkers, the humble fighters, the Brash, the pretty boys, the hard headed ones, the business oriented..all of them.

I am just asking you to to describe what type a fan you are and your argument why....

can you answer that before you go on your floyd mayweather rant...

I'm still wondering how you could separate boxing from fighting.

I never said PBF is the Equivalent to Micheal Jordan?
                    PLEASE READ.
                    BUT
                    Micheal Jordan 6 championships
                    Mayweather 6 Championships.
                    But Mayweather undefeated!
Mayweather is the 4th highest P.P.V Seller of all time.

So dont just try to **** on floyd's impact on the sport.
