I love both equally because unlike you I don't see things in black and white. That's why I say you only see things as you're either against me or with me especially in terms of Mayweather (your only subject matter). My boat speech
This thread is highly entertaining.
Here is my boat speech.
Yes, a boat can be an investment. Years ago, before my present job, I worked for the largest boating website in the world. Part of my responsibilities included ok'ing every used boat sold and placing it on line, adding pictures at times, etc.
One of my duties was to check NADA guides to make sure the values were authentic and in line with the features of the vessel and that the used boat owner was not perpetuating fraud (illegal schemes, wire transfer fraud, etc etc.)
90% of the time boats did decrease dramatically in value sometimes shockingly so year to year, but there were unique boats and more specifically yachts that actually did increase in value, and were jumboized (yes bathrooms were added, length was increased, etc etc) so if you had enough money and picked a unique boat, it could absolutely increase in value. This is no doubt an expensive process and I do admit I saw some absolutely crazy **** you could do with money and resources.
The values did sometimes increase with unique and vintage models and for some reason wooden boats were a big deal....
I was pretty amazed at some of the richer boat sellers who would offer to fly prospective buyers via helicopter etc to see their vessels and was shocked that people as far away as New Zealand would come to a place like Seattle or some port in Italy just to look at a vessel.
