Get real. Canelo has been pushing for 175 this entire time. If Bivol wants to try for the 168 belts that’s on him, not Canelo. In the end, he must take which ever opportunity Bivol gives him.

But quit acting like it’s a “devalued” fight. A fight at 168 would be both fighters on a even playing field. It’ll prove who really is the better boxer. This fight isn’t just about Canelo either. Obviously Bivol wants to fight for legacy as well.

A small middleweight like Canelo tried to prove himself by fighting Bivol at 175. But Bivol trying to do the same at 168 is too much? Come on. If anything he still has a better chance at 168 than Canelo did at 175 lol. Canelo jumped 2 weight classes from where he should be with only 1 fight under his belt. Bivol is going down 1 weight class with PLENTY of experience fighting at 168.

If he can’t beat Canelo at 168 then it just proves Bivol didn’t win their first match, Canelo just lost it.

I'm a Bivol fan. He campaigned at 68 his amateur career. He is the one that said he would go to 68 for the belts. Canelo didn't initially want to hang his belts out. Bivol has stated over and over that he wants a shot at Canelo's belts.

There IS NO 168 in the amateurs. MF's need to stop talking this BS.

And if Bivol beats Canelo at 168 he would unify there too.

Ray Leonard is one of my all time favourite fighters, top 5 all time but him draining Lalonde down to 168 was BS and Canelo doing the exact same to Bivol is straight BS too.
