Bivol has never fought at 168 and Canelo doesn't belong at 175, the fight is pointless just as the first fight was. They both need to stay in their own lanes and fight the best in their own divisions - Bivol vs Beterbiev and Canelo vs Charlo/Andrade/Benavidez.

But, the situation is that Alvarez has fought Bivol once before at 175 pounds.

If he wants to challenge Bivol again, the fight should be at 175 pounds.

Staging the fight at 168 pounds, is a opportunistic move which will devalue the fight 'And challenge for Alvarez'.

Alvarez will know this, but if he is a fighters fighter 'He demands that this fight is made at 175 pounds'.

Get real. Canelo has been pushing for 175 this entire time. If Bivol wants to try for the 168 belts that’s on him, not Canelo. In the end, he must take which ever opportunity Bivol gives him.

But quit acting like it’s a “devalued” fight. A fight at 168 would be both fighters on a even playing field. It’ll prove who really is the better boxer. This fight isn’t just about Canelo either. Obviously Bivol wants to fight for legacy as well.

A small middleweight like Canelo tried to prove himself by fighting Bivol at 175. But Bivol trying to do the same at 168 is too much? Come on. If anything he still has a better chance at 168 than Canelo did at 175 lol. Canelo jumped 2 weight classes from where he should be with only 1 fight under his belt.
