If Bivol can make 168 comfortably, he should do it. If he can`t, don`t do it.
Canelo I believe wants the fight to take place at 175.

It is irrelevant who asked for the fight at 168 pounds.
Canelo Alvarez if he is a fighters fighter, will understand that he needs to rematch and beat Bivol at 175 pounds.
Apparently Eubank Junior was fine with fighting Benn at 157 pounds, and with a catch weight.
But many currently active fighters, and retired fighters knew? That the fight requirements were ridiculous for Eubank Junior.
Alvarez vs Bivol at 168 pounds, is a devalued fight. 7 pounds, is a mass amount of weight to drop. And these are fighters already in peak condition.Comment

I don’t hate Canelo at all, great fighter, but him dragging a 32 year old career Light Heavyweight down to a weight he’s never fought at is disgraceful and only a fanboy would justify that kind of BS.

Alvarez needs to move on, stay and clean up 168. The smaller fighters can move up for Nelo, bringing a bigger, heavier man down is disingenuous.Comment
