Bivol is more fundamentally and technically skilled, the epitome of a taught trained fighter, Ursk, on the other hand, is more self-made, more a creation of his own style that counters the textbook way of doing things, it's not a case of who is better this way or that way, they are both great fighters they just express it differently.

Bivol is more fluid, more "technical" ... He looks like a guy who's been slapped on the fingers a lot in the "Soviet" school... Textbook stance and Textbook Combinations and movement... So Predictable but then so Amazing to watch at the same time... You know what's coming, the other guy knows what's coming, the whole Boxing World knows what's coming... And yet it lands perfectly, timed beautifully, and applied with just the right pressure.. All that greatness being displayed inostensibly...

...but I still think Beterbiev would be the better Guy ...

Bivol for me

defensively Bivol is better. Usyk gets hit quite a bit, which a lot of people seem to ignore.

It’s Usyk by a mile for anyone that knows what they’re watching.

In simple terms, do you really think Bivol could comprehensively outbox guys conceding the same size disadvantage Usyk has in the past? Can he even do it to Beterbiev? I’m not sure he can tbh.

Bivol is excellent at what he does but he keeps things very basic. Hands high, straight shots, balanced stance, in and out with the feet. If you were going to teach a kid how to traditionally box there’s no better example than Bivol. Fantastic fighter and this is by no means intended as a slight on him but he is what he is.

Usyk’s style is far more complex, the angle of attack is rarely the same and the movement is so fluid that he constantly forces you to reset. You’re constantly under pressure against Usyk, he’s constantly making those small adjustments and forcing you to adapt. To do what Usyk does requires a higher level of skill.

I always maintain great athletic talent built on long established fundamentals is what generally creates the greatest fighters. Whether it be Floyd, Roy, Ray, Ali, Robinson etc, all those guys had that combination. Usyk has that combination too and it allows him to box in a dimension a guy like Bivol simply isn’t capable of.
