Mekhaled was incredibly game, she got rocked on multiple occasions and kept trying to land her own shots.

Baumgardner seems to gas quickly after she throws a barrage and Mekhaled was able to score good shots when Baumgardner's activity dropped.

Good fight. I had it closer than the judges.

Likely a combination of things. Persoon ******ly turning a fight she had already essentially won into a NC, that Mekhaled gave Persoon a competitive fight, so it actually enhanced her reputation, and that depth is something the women's game is seriously lacking, so Mekhaled would likely beat a high majority of alternative opponents, as Baumgardner is holding back on the MM rematch for now.
