This makes absolutely no sense. if he is going to fight in MEX it should be Benavidez.

I remember Haugen. He was a very tough guy, but unfortunately, he lacked great boxing skills and blocked too many punches with his face. People got their money's worth when he fought.Comment

Verus, I'm pretty sure people on here know wrestling is staged without me telling them, but still with that being the case the fans wanted the best facing the best and having storylines with them. The story gets people hyped. Mayweather's all access were great. Froch Groves was a great story, Eubank Benn (not the kids) Fury Wilder, Lewis Tyson, Ali had several, and many more. To long without any good stories and things start falling flat. Nash out
I typically enjoy your comments, but I think you are kidding on this one. You should let the posters here know that the WWF did not have real fights. Professional wrestling fights are staged productions, but I do get your larger point that there were times, when the best boxers fought the best and often more than once. But even in those times, there is a limited number of top boxers, so the elite boxers had to fight 2nd and 3rd tier guys just to stay busy.Comment

Now there’s a man who has been watching boxing for a minute. I remember that fight vividly because I remember what an old fashioned tough guy type fighter Haugen was. Hated to see him slapped around like that but he had nothing for Chavez even in his heyday and by the time that fight happened he was well on the slide. I remember him making the Mexican crowd cross with “born in the USA” as his ring walk lolComment
