Freddy Roach is very nervous as he should be. His fighter is going up against a very good fighter in Miguel Cotto and so he's voicing his concerns. Any little thing that comes up expect Freddy to have something to say about it. He will make sure his guy has every advantage conceivable. As the pacman will need it.
I'm actually not sure who will win this fight. Cotto isn't slow. Cotto can box. And Cotto does hit hard. These guys are pretty much the same height and are basically even when it comes to reach. Pacman isn't a small guy anymore. He's a bit smaller yes but he isn't a small guy. He belongs where he is which is why he is at welterweight. Oscar says Pacman didn't hit hard but that's because Ocsar can weigh up to 180 or more off season. Oscar can fight at 154 or 160 if he wanted to.
I'm sure Hatton doesn't think Pacman doesn't hit hard. Cotto is a legitimate welterweight and pacman is a relatively small welterweight. He believes he will win and that's why he's fighting Cotto. Cotto is happy he thinks this way. That's why he's taking this fight.
I don't think either Cotto or Pacquiao have anything to worry about in reference to shenanigans or Tom-foolery taking place. Both of these guys are well mannered and classy guys. They have a lot of respect for themselves as they are fighting for their families and their respective countries.
Amen! Couldn't have said it better!

He's had enough time to make the weight, he was 146 in his last fight. 145 won't be a problem for him.

I give Cotto his props for who he has fought at 147, but after this fight he has no choice but to fight guys who are his own size. The Mosley rematch is a necessity unless Mosley gets beat and then there is Mayweather. Is Arum confident that Cotto can win those fights? And if Pacquiao wins this fight, he is up there with the big boys. He will either have to fight Mosley or Mayweather if he decides to stay at 147 and then there is Alexander, Khan, and Bradley at 140. No more Mexican or Rican fighters to beat up for Pac.

Why are they worried? Cottos a professional, Floyds a damn fraud who waited until the top WW's beat the **** out of each other so he could fight the left overs at WW. Floyd purposely fought fighters who didn't belong at ww like Hatton and Marquez. Floyds a ****ing genius. While Cotto and Mosley was busy fighting the top WW's, Mayweather was busy fighting Hatton and Marquez at WW...

Roach is not taking any chances. He wants to make sure Cotto doesn't pull a Floyd Mayweather Jr, who weighed 146-pounds for last Saturday's fight against Juan Manuel Marquez. The fight was contracted for 144. As punishment, Mayweather had to pay Marquez $600,000. [details]

I like Floyds skills but this is one true statement right here.

Owned. Nice. This is not a welterweight fight, its a catchweight fight that was contracted within the range of the welterweight division without complying with the actual upper and lower limits of the welterweight division. Its a contract that both parties agreed to and that's well within their right. But it's not a true welterweight fight and that's that.
