I aint denying PFBs draw or his skill set - skillz on the man are next level BUT think of any great - where does it mention his PPV numbers or the money he made?

Well, unless you are a draw, how do you get the best to fight you? THAT is why PPV sales is so imporatant. You won't get the matchups you need unless you are a draw.
Why couldn't Winky or Forrest get the bouts they wanted? Why does Shane want to fight Mayweather, and not Paul Williams?
For all we know, Paul Williams may be the next SRL. Here's a guy who seems like he can simultaneously compete in (dominate?) 3-4 divisions. But he won't get the fights because he is dangerous, but not a draw. If he was dangerous, AND brought money, he would get the fights.
Feel me?
The old boxing model doesn't apply. You guys need to change and grow. What you (well, some of you) are clinging to is an outdated business model based on archaic paradigms.
Adapt...or die.

Get me?
Here's the thing:
"Back in the day", during the SRR era, most people did NOT see those fights. Not only weren't the fights televised, but you could barely see it in closed circuit on celluloid. The fans today don't really know that. People either went to the fights, or listened to it on radio.
Today, the fights are televised, and boxing is competing with 300 other channels. The kids are all into video games. The games are mad violent. Kids see violent fights on UFC, and the films inaccurately portray what a fight is.
Back in the day, guys fought ten times a year because they HAD to. But today's top fighters get 7 and 8 figure checks. Promotions and camp takes 4 months. So, you can't fight everybody. By the time you hit your prime earning years, you are 28 or 30. And you have about 3 or 4 guaranteed years in your prime (not everybody is Hopkins).
So, for the 6 to 8 big money fights I get, I need to maximize that.
I'm not making excuses for ANY fighter. Floyd said that he came back to fight the best, and he needs to do that. I'm merely explaining the realities of the modern boxing game.

What will be the excuses when Cotto-Pac do 700K buys?
