The Delahoya fights played "a factor". How "huge" is dubious.

After all, if Delahoya was some magic elixir that elevated the status of his opponents, then explain the absence of mainstream appeal of these guys:

    Hopkins
    Mosley
    etc

There are many guys that did not 'blow up" post-Oscar. Agreed? There are as many guys that faded into "bolivion" (thanks, Mike) post-Oscar.

          Pull,

Would you say that Floyd has shown himself to be a consistently strong draw? based on the fact that 6 out of his last 7 fights have been PPV and there hasn't been a dog in the bunch.

Would you say Floyd is a very strong draw?

If you asked me if i thought this fight would be a blockbuster (based on the criticism FMJ and this fight engendered on NSB) I would have said "H*LL NO"!

We are in the same camp.

It's a bit unfortunate that you don't already know that.

A better comparison is to see how Floyd vs Cotto would measure against Pacquiao vs Cotto.
econometric experience?!! haha bringing out the fancy words now are we??
Anyway I agree, A/B vs C/D isn't really valid, fair point, thats why I brought up the Hatton comparison, but remember you also compared these:

Mayweather vs Baldomir / Pacquiao vs Diaz
Mayweather vs Judah / Pacquiao vs Barrera

If you're so good at marketing bull**** then tell me how much the recession effected sales for Pac/Hatton?? 125k worth at least.

If youre goina talk about variables then how can you compare the Marquez fights?

I'll say again, I think Pacs popularity has sored recently since coming up in weight and giving the fans some exciting fights, somethin Mayweather can't do. So we're only goina see his true sales potential in his next few fights.

And besides, if you're saying its not a fair comparison between this years fights, then you're accepting the Pac/Cotto is a bigger fight than Mayweather/Marquez.

                  Razor,

My posting style is to not throw silly insults around. I'm on here to learn and to share information.

I don't think the insults are either mature or manly. If you can't get on board with a discussion, please post in another thread.

                  Thanks.

Too much LOGIC in this POST..!!
Only Trinidad, Mayweather, and Pacquiao used the exposure to further build on thier popularity...!!
