Make no mistake. Mayweather was put on the map when Dela Hoya fought him. He's not an entertaining fighter the calibre of Tyson, SRL, etc. The rest of the world doesn't even know him. They were rooting for Hoya in that fight. They were disappointed. They were doubly disappointed when Floyd denied them the Hoya rematch. Since then fans have followed him to see him lose. That explains the PPV, not because they love him dearly.

          There.

39 million- Black Americans in the U.S..
3.5 million- Total number of Filipinos in the U.S.
There are ten times more Blacks than Filipinos in the U.S.
            Floyd/Shane (both African/Americans) PPV= 1.4 million
            Pac/Shane PPV= 1.3 million
            Only .1 million difference.
            Draw your own conclusions.

Can you please explain the difference in value between the $60 of people who pay to see him win, an the $60 of people who pay to see him lose?
