The average PPV for PBF's last two fights is 1.2 (pending the Ortiz numbers)
The average PPV for Pac's last two fights is 1.23

Obviously PBF dominates Pac and is a much better person.
    What did Pac-Mosley do?

May I have an official Showtime press release to verify that number, please? Thanks in advance.

      • the mayweather ortiz fight did over 40,000 buys in the uk on primetime with no promotion and the fight being at 5am in the morning. the khan vs judah fight did 49,000/50,000 n khan did a lot of tv/radio apperances promoting tht fight. also the mayweather/ortiz buys r higher than any froch fight on british ppv.

Again your post shows Floyd is THE draw in boxing today , its fact , some of trolling kids will still try and argue an absolute fact , they would argue who casts a bigger shadow and that Manny could get a better suntan .

Trolling kids ruin this site , sometimes the threads look like a Manny propaganda site nothing with but hate trolling , I guess mouthy kids do more clicking than proper discussion good money in busy websites they say ,,,,

lol Mannys propaganda site is milking the fans like he is milking boxing and both are doing it with bull**** lol .

            • Vs De La Hoya, it was mainly De La Hoyas name at the time that sold that fight. Mayweather sales are for Boxing Fans who want to see him lose. As a 14 year fan of the sport, I always buy pay per views for the love of the sport. Mayweather knows he has to play the villain to sell, up until Arturo Gatti - He was not a major star, it was after Oscar and the launch of 24-7 that mayweather stocks jumped, and again - its for the fans like myself who dish out the money for the love of the sport.

I respect his skills inside that ring, but until he faces PAc - he wont have the full respect of the fans. Truth is, his numbers are bigger than Pacs, but pac has more fans who love and support him. He is a true sportsman, but when he knocks out Money May - it wont be pretty.

              • These numbers are not relevant considering that Pac is from the Phillipines and Mayweather is an American.

in the uk mayweather also holds the record 4 a boxing ppv, his fight with hatton was on sky box office n its the only fight to ever do over 1million in the uk (1.1mil) pac v hatton did less than 500,000. second is lewis tyson which did in the region of 850,000

1.45 Mn (if accurate) would translate to about $92 million in PPV revenues.

And when you do all the math, that means Floyd makes in the neighborhood of $55 million.

If it's more than 1.45 Mn, it wouldn't surprise me. She only has visibility to cable. They take a best guess at the Dish nums.
Doesn't the cable company or whatever, Time Warner Cable, I don't know, get 50% of that, and then Floyd and Ortiz get the other 50%...and from whatever total is left after the cable company takes their big 50% share, Floyd gets his 80% of that money? I don't know how that works, you seem to know more, so explain to me.

I mean, I know with the already $25million guaranteed that Floyd is gonna get, added up with the PPV share, gate revenue, that he gets, I can see him getting a total of over $50 million dollars.

I'm gonna do the math real quick, if it is how I think. I'm thinking more that I just misunderstood your post, maybe did you mean that he makes about $55mill in total.

                      1.45buys x $60[price of PPV] = 87mill

50% of $87million dollars= 43.5 million dollars, that goes to the cable company.

That means there's 43.5million left for Mayweather and Ortiz to share.

If Mayweather gets 80% of that[if that's even the percentage he's getting], then that's 80% of 43.5mill which equals 34.8mill. 34.8mill plus 25 mill is like $60 Million, which is a humongous amount of money for 1 fight, let alone for one year. That's about the mount of money Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez, two of the highest paid baseball players in the Major Leagues, earn in one year worth of hard played baseball COMBINED[They each make around 30million a year], where each of them play over 140 games, with every game averaging about 2 and half hours, while Floyd fights a total of 10 minutes and gets what they get in a whole year, put together. Insane amount of money.

Something has to be off. No way Victor Ortiz makes $11million dollars from PPV revenue, plus the already $2.5mill he's guaranteed, that would have him earning almost $15mill. That's too much. Mayweather probably is getting more than 80% of the PPV revenue.

Shed some light on this, I am obviously lost.
