    Yeah misleading facts!

    I can show you some financial statements that looks too good to be true.

    People just looks at the numbers and goes yeah it looks good but doesn't consider the whole picture. They just look at the total sales but not the growth.

    Look at this way when you compare the transition from Dela Hoya to Hatton:

    Mayweather = from 2.4m down to 950k = 60% Decline
    Pacquiao = from 1.2m down to 825k = 30% Decline

    Of course De la hoya is a bigger draw. Put people don't consider that pacquiao's popularity is continually growing.

    I can even see it happening in my own eyes. During the fight with hatton vs pac there's 2x as much people at my house compare to the delahoya fight. Of course that's an isolated data, but the fact that people talked about it, asked their friend friend's how exciting that fight was and are willing to want to see more speaks for itself.

        ...Did you want to include the May/Marq fight for Floyd?

        And then we will include the Pac-Cotto fight?

        ...reminder: this thread will still be on here in a month.

        • Um, who cares? Just because he puts better numbers than Pacquiao doesn't mean I prefer to watch him over Pacquiao. Mayweather makes his numbers with his mouth, Pacquiao does it with his fists. I'd pay to watch Pacquiao fight once a week! ...well maybe not, but you get the point.

              About what? The fact that I was right about floyd having stable followers?

              sales from hatton to jmm: it was almost identical

              Want to compare the growth in sales that Pacquiao has from JMM to hatton?

                ?
                I have now challenged you TWICE to back up your statements. You came in here calling people idiots.

                For the third time, and since you came in this thread calling people idiots, explain how a P&D deal works. Who gets paid how much and how do the sales flow through?

                Meet the challenge.

                  get that in your head
                  I keep seeing this argument.. Yes, part of it is him being American. But there are other American boxers. Shane Mosley for instance, a great fighter of our time. Why hasn't he enjoyed FMJ's same success? Pac, a non american, moves more PPV's than Mosley can. There's more factors here than just nationality.

                    Another non-American, Felix Trinidad, consistently outsold Shane. Felix is "foreign" and actually never spoke English publicly.

                      Does that sound right to you?...and you are calling other people idiots?

                      Who's fault is it that Pac isn't effectively promoted? pac has the most experienced promoter in the business.
                      promote himself? not promoters. Try promoting yourself in a foreign country without speaking their language? Good luck with that?
