Barrera was more consistently great. He didn’t need to shine every second year because he shined every time out. Was way more versatile and intelligent than Marquez.

Barrera is better than Marquez hands down. People think otherwise because Marquez bested Pac. The truth is that Morales would have destroyed Marquez if they ever fought. Remember the first round Marquez ever fought against Pac? He was knocked down three times. He relies on slipping your punch by a fraction of an inch and that isn’t so easy against someone with a reach advantage and the ability to fire a random long range bomb.

I feel Barrera is an easier fight for JMM than Manny, I think pre Hamad he would have walked into a heavy counter, after Hamad its more of a boxing match, I wouldn't say hands down anything they are both greats and would have fought that way.

When did Marquez ever one shot stop anyone other than Pac? Pac had Marquez hurt and went for the kill. Ran right into something. Barrera never literally ran into punches in that fashion even when he was a puncher.
