How does Beterbiev vs prime Ward play out?

Beterbiev is much stronger mentally than Kovalev ever was, and physically as well. He beat Kovalev twice in the amateurs. Kovalev couldn’t even stop Chillemba right before the Ward fight.
I thought Kovalev beat Ward the 1st fight. I think Beterbiev stops him.Last edited by RadChang; 01-28-2023, 11:20 PM.Comment

Would be an interesting fight. I think Beterbiev is a much better mid range fighter than Kovalev. He also has quicker feet and can punch in combination a lot more fluidly and quickly. He seems faster on his feet too. He also appears to be more resilient and tougher than Kovalev. Who knows, maybe it was all the heavy drinking that made Kovalev soft. It was during the Chilemba fight that I first started to question Kovalev's will to crush his opponents. Beterbiev is 38 and he still showed that he has the will to crush his opponent. Old Kovalev seemed really soft compared to this old Beterbiev. Also Beterbiev seems way faster than Kovalev did later in his career.Comment

Ward TKO’d Kovalev with nut shots, Golota style. No clue why people don’t talk about it more often.
He is overrated and he knows it. That’s why he always takes a **** on Canelo, GGG, anyone who fought during his time. Ward is insecure.Comment

This is easy as chollo is
Beterbiev by looping rights to the back of the head all fughin day long
Unless Canelo get to Beterbiev first
Then Artur better eat his tainted meat and still lose on the scorecards , unless it’s derailed by the unified fughin champion
They tried hard today , even the ref pushed him to keep fighting
Tunde , for once did what your supposed to do , got his lion out cause he was gonna get mauled by looping rights

Yes, I rated Kovalev highly. At his best, he was a solid fighter all around 'With elite punching power'.
Beterbiev is not a difficult fight stylistically for Ward, it is a dangerous fight 'Due to his strength and power'. But technically and tactically, a straight forward fight for Andre Ward to prepare for.
Beterbiev movement and ability to cut off the ring, and apply educated pressure 'From my observation is not good enough, to use the tactics he applies to beat Ward'.
Kovalev was stylistically a way more difficult fight. Kovalev had a solid and dominant Jab, good movement, better defense than Beterbiev, comparable punching power, and more variation in his offense from Mid-Long Range. All of these attributes forced Ward to show more of his game, and operate outside of his default tactics.
Beterbiev seems to be a pressure fighter, who relies on being stronger than his opponents 'Clearly benefits from the day before weigh in rule, and is the big man on fight night'.
Eventually this will have a negative effect on his performance and conditioning.

Beterbiev boxing skills are elite level. He arguably beat Usyk several times in amateur. I'm amazed how Beterbiev skills still underratedSergey Kovalev at his peak, was a better fighter than Beterbiev.
Beterbiev is a strong fighter physically, and hits with considerable punching power.
But? I do not rate his pure boxing skills as elite 'Andre Ward had elite all around game'. Inside game, mid-range game, long-range game, defense and rough house tactics.
To me Beterbiev looks like a fighter who stylistically, a fighter like Andre Ward would beat over the distance.
Sergey Kovalev had a top level Long to Mid-Range game. That was why his fights with Ward were competitive etc.Comment
