Maybe not better but more proven.

But Bute,Andrae and Bika should be infront of him IMO.
Bute, and Andrade definately.......I don't know about Bika though I guess a loss to Calzaghe and a ko win over Manfredo is better than any of Green's wins at present. Ideally Green and Bika should be fighting each other.

Like you said they should fight. But Green turned down the Bika fight and now it went against him.Another reason why I ain't happy about his career.

Yeah that would be a good more appropriate fight.

That's because none of the top supper-middles want to fight him. He has been beating up all the mid-level guys, staying in the Top 10 Ring Magazine rankings but nobody above him wants to give him a shot.

He is a more accomplished 168 contender than both Andre Ward and Dirrell, and even Abraham and Taylor, who haven't done squat at that weight.

Ahhh...he turned down fights with Bute,Pavlik,Ward and Bika.

His advisor Greg Leon is an idiot.

Like I said he doesn't deserve to be infront of Bute,Andrade or Bika.

Personally I don't know how is he even ranked by The Ring when he hasn't beaten no top 10 fighter.

Green is wasting his talent and prime. Instead of fighting likes of Oganov, he should be trying to make fights with fighters like Bika, Inkin, etc.

Allan Green and his advisor have talked his way out of more big fights than most contenders ever get a chance at.

And he is not more proven than Ward or Dirrell.

Green's got a string of KO's over no name guys.

In his biggest fight, Green lost to Miranda. Ward beat Miranda in a lopsided UD. Sure you could say it wasn't the same version of Miranda, but wtf is keeping Green from rematching the guy and avenging his only loss?

In what would've been his second biggest fight, Green would've met Oganov, but it didn't work out this time. Not Green's fault, but still. Dirrell KO'd Oganov a year ago. Dirrell also has a win over Hanshaw, who is also arguably a better name than anyone Green has on his resume.

But the main difference between Green and Dirrell/Ward is that the Andres have jumped at the chances that have come to them and on top of that have come out victorious. Green, on the other hand, seems to squander every big opportunity he's offered and then bitches about not being invited to the party. Which type of fighter would YOU rather work with?

That said I think Green would be a threat to most of the guys in the tournament, but I have ZERO problem with him being left out as the rest of the guys are more proven and have shown more willingness to step up to the plate.

Green pulling out of the Echols fight at the last minute didnt help his career either.

                      This.^^

Green **** all over ESPN in doing this, who had been supporting him for years, even having him on as a studio analyst. Total idiot move on his part, because he felt like he was done fighting other contenders and deserved to be on HBO/Showtime fighting for belts. Way to build your reputation, genius.

Then he's been in serious talks for TWO Pavlik fights, a Bute fight, and a Froch fight, and has somehow f'ed all those up too, probably by wearing his big boy pants to the bargaining table instead of realizing he doesn't deserve to get things on his terms until he is the one with a belt around his waist.
