Wow - I'm shocked. I'll have to call Marshall Kaufman and see if Tarvis has actually been in the gym. Tarvis has skills but this is a huge step up for him at a late point in his career. Considering he struggled with Carlos Bojorquez and Robert Frazier, let alone his last fight with Upshaw - I see this as a unan decision for Green, if not a stoppage. The only wildcard is whether Green struggles with lefties - he did struggle a little with Emmett Linton.

I've never seen the brother of Travis Simms fight. Looking at his record he must not have as much power as Travis. Speaking of which, whatever happened to that cat. It seems like he totally fell of the radar after he lost that borefest on Showtime against Alcime.

Honestly - I'd be shocked if this one came off. Tarvis is a very reluctant warrior and he's promoted by Joe D who will more than likely demand more than his fair share of whatever offer is out there. Odds are this one won't happen.

Uh at first I figued it sounded like a good sub an undefeated fighter then realized Tarvis is 38 years old, a middleweight with only 11 KOs and his opposition has been terrible. Hopefully I misread the article and L'allen Green is fighting him haha

Tarvis has been on espn a few times a couple of years back.

He looked pretty good then, IMO.
